Frequency
[One] thing that gets in the way of communication between the dimensions is frequency. At the lower dimensions, such as our third dimension, our energy vibrates at a very low, slow frequency. In higher dimensions, the energy vibrates at a very high, fast frequency.
In order [for spirits to] communicate with us, we have to both raise our own frequency (which is what people who are psychics naturally do), and they have to lower their vibrations so we can hear and see them. That takes a reverse energy output on their part. It would be like us going into suspended animation.
To most people, angel voices sound like the buzzing of insects. Did you ever watch the old Star Trek series? On one episode, Capt. Kirk keeps hearing a buzzing sound, which was actually people talking who were moving at a faster rate. Once he figured out what was happening, he found a way to speed himself up so he could talk to these people. But he then discovered that his own crew looked so slow that they were hardly moving at all. That's what we look like to the angels. It's like the difference between listening to a bass sound and a high C soprano. Bass vibrates slow and low; soprano vibrates fast and high.
In order for angels and spirits to let us see, hear and feel them, they have to slow their vibration down to our level, which is really hard for them to do since they are so used to moving quickly. It takes a lot of reverse energy for them to appear to us in complete human form. I've only seen it once in five years.
Brain Waves
Another factor in being able to communicate with spirits and angels is the level of your brain waves.
When you are awake, you are in the beta level. Alpha is when you're just going to sleep or just waking up, or when you're in easy meditation.
Theta is where you want be for ADC (after death communication), out of body experiences and astral travel. It's when you are dreaming or in deep meditation.
Delta is where you will have the most success in astral traveling or experiencing spirit visitation. It's said that you aren't dreaming, and maybe you aren't. You have left your body so there is no need to dream, but you will usually remember the experience as a dream.
Theta and delta are usually where hypnosis takes place as well.
With practice, you will be able to enter a trance that goes from beta to alpha and then to theta.
